Easy Plans
The Chapter-a-day Plan / Repetition Plan
This reading plan is meant to emphasize depth rather than breadth. It’s self-guided. Pick a book of the Bible and read a chapter each day. When you get to the end of the book, just start over in the same book and read it again. You’ll be able to read through a short book 4-5 times per month or a longer book in the New Testament 2-3 times per month. Our suggestion would be to start in 2nd Corinthians in January (our new 2024 message series is 2nd Corinthians). In February, transition to a book of your choice.
YouVersion Verse of the Day
(YouVersion Bible App)
This reading plan uses the daily verse-of-the-day on the YouVersion “Bible” app. See the links below to download the Bible app.
When you open the app, a Verse of the Day will be featured on the app homepage along with a Guided Scripture video and Guided Prayer.
The Guided Scripture video is led by a Bible teacher who will help you gain insight into the verse’s meaning.
After completing the Guided Scripture video, tap Guided Prayer to see how you might apply the verse through prayer. Pray along as you tap through the series of prayer suggestions.
Try to be consistent in your reading so you can learn to understand and apply God’s word!

Moderate Plans
Book-at-a-Time by Navigators.org >> (PDF Download)
This is a straightforward reading plan that goes through the entire Bible in one year. It offers two readings per day from a preprinted reading plan. The first reading alternates between Old and New Testament books. The second reading takes you through a chapter of the wisdom literature and Isaiah. There are five or six days each month with no designated reading to allow time to catch up on missed readings or to spend extra time in meditation.
5x5x5 by Navigators.org >> (PDF Download)
This is a preprinted reading plan that takes you through the 260 chapters of the New Testament in one year. This plan takes 5 minutes, 5 days per week. This is a great option for those wanting to incorporate reading of the Bible into their daily routine.
Challenging Plans
This plan is multi-faceted and goes through the Bible chronologically. It includes a devotional & reading plan on the YouVersion app along with a daily YouTube podcast (~8 minutes) that provides insight into the day's reading. Readers that prefer a printed reading plan may choose that option instead of the YouVersion app version (but this will not include the additional devotional materials that provide a backstory into the day's reading).
M’Cheyne One Year Reading Plan >>
This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system, featuring four different readings for use in both family and personal devotions. Each day has two passages from the Old Testament, one from the New Testament, and one from either the Psalms or the Gospels. In one year, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice.
